News - Foothills at Jay will soon be launching its business community development on the lots available on Route 242 and Commerce Way. This development is expected to be particularly attractive to retail operators catering to the summer and winter recreational trade as well as service and professional entities providing services and products to local residents and tourists. The first building is now on the drawing boards. Please contact us immediately if you are interested in getting in on the ground floor at the Foothills at Jay business and community center and for Summer 2007 specials which includes a Golf pass for the rest of the year or a Free Family Ski pass for next winter and more.
Located on Route 242 within four miles of Jay Peak Resort , Foothills At Jay intends to bring together the convenience of access to Jay Vermont's planned (and future) winter and summer facilities as well as access to support services when you are in the area.
Foothills At Jay includes a commercial village designed for a minimum of eleven businesses. This commercial center is located parallel to Route 242 and is intended to dovetail into the planned Jay Village core in a manner which would provide a safe, leisurely Vermont commercial district without cluttering the main access to the ski area.
Foothills At Jay is convenient to schools, Interstate 91, Jay Peak Recreational Area and other inviting facilities. This area offers accessibility to excellent freshwater fishing in area streams and Lake Memphremagog. Jay Village now boasts of a new tastefully done educational facility for grades K through six completed this past year. This project, located ten minutes to Jay Peak, offers access to some of the best alpine and glade skiing east of the Mississippi. Jay Peak is rapidly becoming a four season recreational resort with the opening of an 18 hole golf course planned for 2005, including a professional golf teaching facility.
